75th Anniversary Celebration -- The Eugene Field House & St. Louis Toy Museum

This year The Eugene Field House & St. Louis Toy Museum is delighted to be celebrating its 75th anniversary as an historic museum. Opening on December 18, 1936 as a shrine to Eugene Field, the Children's Poet; for generations the museum has been the home of poetry, toys, and more recently the exploration of Roswell Field and the Dred Scott case. In honor of our long history, there are new displays and exhibits throughout the museum. "A Room Divided" interprets the history of slavery; giving visitors a chance to explore and understand the causes of the pro and antislavery conflict. Affton Christian Food Pantry
A new collaborative partnership to assist the poor and needy in supplying basic food needs to the Affton Community (unofficial estimate is 7500-8500 persons). Affiliated Member Churches: Affton Christian Church, Cure of Ars, Our Lady of Providence, Rooftop Community Church, Saint Dominic Savio, Saint George, Saint Mark, Salem Lutheran, Seven Holy Founders, Zion Methodist, and St. Simon the Apostle. Do you recycle?
Drop off your recycling at any school in the Affton or Bayless area. Deposit old newspapers, shopping catalogs, computer paper, Fax paper, office paper, envelopes, non-confidential junk mail, and magazines at the yellow and green dumpsters on their parking lots. NO plastic, glass, food wrap, tissue products, phone books, or cardboard. 
You can also drop off aluminum cans at Bayless and Seven Holy Founders schools.

Salem Lutheran School currently offers certificates for sale to grocery stores, restaurants, and retail stores in varied amounts. A percentage of the proceeds is then returned to the school.
