Gravois Road Bridge Replacement Project at Gravois Creek
See the current condition of the bridge and the MoDOT Project Fact Sheet detailing the problem and timeline.
UPDATED INFORMATION ON BRIDGE PROJECT: We were just informed by MoDOT "the total closure of Gravois Rd, which was to occur between Jan. 2 to Mar. 15" must be rescheduled. "Unfortunately, Missouri American Water Company has refused to relocate their water line so as not to conflict with the bridge replacement." MoDOT is "tentatively rescheduling the bridge replacement project for the September 2008 letting."

Affton's Newest Helping Community
St. George Catholic Church & Salem Lutheran Church

A new collaborative partnership to assist the poor and needy in supplying basic food needs to the Affton Community (unofficial estimate is 7500-8500 persons). Additional Christian churches and the Affton community are invited to participate in this joint project. Do you recycle?
Drop off your recycling at any school in the Affton or Bayless area. Deposit old newspapers, shopping catalogs, computer paper, Fax paper, office paper, envelopes, non-confidential junk mail, and magazines at the yellow and green dumpsters on their parking lots. NO plastic, glass, food wrap, tissue products, phone books, or cardboard. 
You can also drop off aluminum cans at Bayless and Seven Holy Founders schools.

Salem Lutheran School currently offers certificates for sale to grocery stores, restaurants, and retail stores in varied amounts. A percentage of the proceeds is then returned to the school.
